Were preparing for week 2, month 5, of our 12 Months of Wellness – getting rid of the items weve sorted.
This week, we’ve been busy sorting our clutter using the four-box method. We’ve divided items into four boxes (put away, storage, donate/sell, and trash), and then we’ve done the easy next steps— thrown out the trash and dealt with the “put away” category by placing it back where it belongs. Next week, it’s all about dealing with the donate/sell category.
Prep for next week
Prepping for next week can mean a few different things. If you’re feeling ambitious, you might start to plan a garage sale (check the weather reports, get the family involved, set a day aside, etc).
Or you might prefer to ask around and think of people who might love to have some of the things you’re getting rid of (other families with young kids, your niece who’s moving out for the first time).
Lastly, you might want to research charitable organizations in your community that are looking for donations of gently used items.
Tell us how you’re doing!
