How Phill Kane Does the Most Good (and Crushes Being a WLC Team Leader)

In our “Do the Most Good” series, we highlight amazing WLC team leaders. These are people who motivate, support, and inspire others to get the most out of the life-changing experience of the Whole Life Challenge. By helping others achieve their dreams, they are doing “the most good.” And who wouldn’t want more good in this world?

The Whole Life Challenge isn’t just a game for Phill Kane — it’s a way of life. (Seriously, click on that link to read the mind-blowing story of how the WLC brought him back from the edge.)

So, it’s no surprise to us that Phill is inspiring others left and right through his WLC team, the Whole Life Crushers. (Also, he just crushed another marathon, so he walks the talk I mean…he runs the talk!?)

We asked Phill if he could share some of the “secrets” to why his team works so well. And also why he’s so amazing (which he’ll never admit, but as it turns out — that’s part of Phill’s “secret” sauce). Here’s what he had to say…

How Phill Kane Does the Most Good (and Crushes Being a WLC Team Leader)

How Many People Are on Your Team and What Has Been Your Biggest Team?

I have 83 people so far for the April 2019 Challenge. I had 232 team members this past January. My biggest team was 253!

What’s Your “Secret” to Crushing This Team Leader Thing?

I am not an expert at anything — I am not a trainer, not a food expert or anything, so I question my value all the time. But in answer to your question — my secret is conviction.

I believe in this thing the way some people have faith or a spiritual conviction. I whole-heartedly believe that if someone does this thing over the course of a year or more — creates awareness and make this a lifestyle — that they will be healthier, happier, and more enthusiastic about their life.

What Are Your Team Members Looking Forward to in the Challenge?

My team looks forward most to the camaraderie and connection of the team. I make my WLC news feed an anti-social media environment. It is at least ten minutes a day of checking in with like-minded people sharing their real-time experiences.

I share my current and past experiences, and I solicit responses. Once I get that energy going, the team more or less takes off with me as a cheerleader.
