New Call-to-action

Why Is This Practice Important?

When you are constantly worrying about the future or fretting about the past — things that we have no power to change — it’s easy to miss out on the present. We spend a lot of our mental energy on worry, but it’s a habit we can change.

A daily practice of bringing your attention to the present can bring clarity, happiness, and power. When you are focused on the present moment, you are focused on things you can actually do something about.

It’s natural and OK to get distracted or even frustrated when you first start meditating. There may be lots of internal noise. Don’t worry about that at all. Your objective is not to make your mind be silent, but to allow thoughts to happen (and not be hooked in by them).
